Moving Off the Grid: Part 2
In this episode, we get our tiny house delivered to our off-grid property.
Transcription
Our 12×24 foot tiny house was built in a nearby city and delivered to us by truck.
We spent 4 days prepping our land for its arrival.
The odds of actually being able to bring it up to our land seemed slim, but we were determined.
We met the driver at a nearby intersection, then he reluctantly followed us up the steep and narrow road to our property.
I spent some time with the driver, discussing the best course of action…
We decided to remove the house from the truck first, then move it onto our lot with a forklift.
Once the house was in position, we began leveling it.
We were a few blocks short, but simply having it in place was a huge relief.
It was nice to prepare a proper meal indoors again.
Our empty cabin was a huge upgrade from the dilapidated tent.
